Olympic Fever

I get a bit obsessive at times, and of course, I'm really into the olympic games at the moment.  The disadvantage of living in the Southern Hemisphere is that it's on at night and carries on into the wee hours of the morning.  I stay up a lot longer than I should, and try to keep awake to watch for any sign of Australia or NZ winning a medal.

The problem with staying up till 2 or 3am is obviously sleep deprivation, which makes Heather a bit dippy and grumpy all rolled into one. The other problem is that I tend to snack while watching the TV...I ate a mini magnum one night after Brent went to bed. I also tend to fall asleep on the couch in the afternoons to make up for lost sleep. Maybe if I got onto the treadmill while watching all these amazing athletes competing?

And there's "ANOTHER" one of my pitfalls... the late night tv watching! Same here - the late night tv watching usually means late night snacking!

I love it though - it's so nice n' quiet: everyone is taken care of (asleep!lol) and I have the tv/time all to myself to enjoy :)

I hear you on this - I find that when I am watching TV alone I tend to eat a lot more than if someone is with me - almost like eating in secret. I wish I didn't feel like that but I do.
Good idea to get on the treadmill although at that time of the night I have generally showered and am already in my pj's and definitely not in the mood to exercise - I have to exercise as soon as I get home from work otherwise it just doesn't happen.
Have a great Sunday !

Still loving your blog, you are doing very well. I am glad you are enjoying the Olympics they have been/are being very exciting. I went to the tennis last week and had the best time. The atmosphere at the Olympic tennis is so different to Wimbledon fortnight.....a greater mix of nationalities and far less stuffy, more my cup of tea!!!! Sadly the cost of tickets makes going expensive. My weight loss has stopped sadly.. Since my cruise and my 4lb gain I have not been able to continue losing. I am still trying but getting moody and hungry.
